James Hardie Account Representative’s position the company’s value proposition and whole-product solution of Hardiebacker and fiber-cement siding to The Home Depot and Lowe’s stores and their contractor/builder base.
The best account representatives work to strategically target potential customers at these stores to generate and grow new business. They build and enhance strong customer relationships with the contractor base and store management staff and are recognized as strong business partners with these clients.
A successful Account Representative is a self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities for sales growth, evaluate current market trends and execute a sales strategy. They have a strong knowledge of business and have a keen market sense. They manage an assigned sales territory and report on related marketing activities by conducting competitive market analysis, competitive intelligence, and other sales-related research.
They must be able to interact with store management and other JH account reps to find creative solutions to problems.
An Account Rep accomplishes goals with little supervision and direction, has a sense of urgency, and the proven ability to deliver results along with the motivation for career advancement.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1-3 years of sales experience is ideal
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel overnight (20%).
