James Hardie is looking for superstars to add to our growing field marketing team who are highly motivated, talented talkers, always upbeat and love to socialize. Our unique marketing model involves getting out of the office and into the field to get leads and schedule appointments.

Reporting to the Hardie Ambassador Manager, the Hardie Ambassador works to drive sales through interactions with prospective customers in their environments. The Hardie Ambassador spends the majority of his/her time engaging with prospective customers at events and home shows, and through neighborhood targeting in an effort to generate leads, increase brand awareness, book appointments, and grow new business. The incumbent also positions the Company’s value proposition and whole-product solution to the customer.

Responsibilities:
Develop new business through traditional and innovative sales and marketing techniques. Generate high quality leads by promoting the Company’s products through:

Event marketing, including local and retail events:
- Event setup and execution.
- Identify hyper-local event opportunities.
- Drive sales growth by generating leads and scheduling appointments.
- Demonstrate product comparison and distribute marketing materials.
- Record accurate data regarding the information of prospective customers, and the targeted market area.
- Provide feedback on event results to the Hardie Ambassador Manager.

Home show engagement:
- Aid in booth setup and execution.
- Demonstrate product comparison and distribute marketing materials.
- Record accurate data regarding the information of prospective customers.
- Provide feedback on home show results to the Hardie Ambassador Manager.

Educate potential customers about Company and products by:
- Being familiar with company Mission, Core Values and Vision.
- Highlighting the Company’s value proposition of the products to ensure sales.
- Providing product overviews and usage demonstrations.
- Keeping up to date on product and service changes.
- Keeping up to date on all existing and new company policies. Always follow all company policies.

Conducting field marketing in assigned territories:
- Demonstrate product comparison and distribute marketing materials to homeowners.
- Drive sales growth by generating leads and scheduling appointments.
- Record accurate data regarding the information of prospective customers, and the targeted market area.
- Provide feedback of field marketing results to the Hardie Ambassador Manager.



Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree & Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance and clean driving record
- Ability to work weekends, as business need deems appropriate.
- Ability to travel.
- Must be able to complete light physical activities such as standing or walking for long periods of time, along with kneeling, pushing, pulling or regularly bending and twisting the body. Prepared to carry materials that might weigh up to 25 pounds.
- Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
- Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software).

Education/Experience:
-- Individuals pursuing Business, Sales, Communications, Marketing is a major plus
-- Bachelor's Degree in related fields: Business, Sales, Communications, Marketing
-- Zero to three years of sales, customer service, and/or field marketing experience preferred
-- Candidates must be bright, hardworking, driven and strong problem solvers.
