Job Description:
The Repair and Remodel Segment is the largest building-products segment in North America and James Hardie is the world’s largest siding manufacturer. This segment is a strategic priority for the business, and this position will have a high degree of visibility with upper management both in the corporate and division offices. Position open due to employee in role recently promoted and need to backfill ASAP.
The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating strategy, developing, launching, and tracking B2B & B2C marketing programs. Additionally, he/she will oversee a segment contact management plan, contractor program administration, and lead management. Specific emphasis will be placed on tracking performance and return on investment while driving segment objectives of improving partnerships with contractors and owning consumer point of market entry.
This is a marketing position at James Hardie Building Products, leading the integrated marketing planning and execution for the Repair & Remodel Segment. The position reports to the Repair & Remodel Business Manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage B2B & B2C marketing programs that will help drive segment objectives of improving partnerships with contractors and owning consumer point of market entry.
- Track and analyze contractor program engagement, adoption of program tools and services, as well as return on investment.
o Establish and maintain a clear understanding of how the program is performing.
o Make recommendations to enhance program engagement and performance
- Manage multiple agencies/vendors and negotiate contracts
- Develop annual marketing plan and budget
- Develop and manage execution of a contact management plan
o Create monthly promotions, work with marketing department to develop creative, deploy communications and track performance
- Collaborate with the sales team and Repair & Remodel Segment Managers to develop and track regional marketing programs.
- Maintain monthly reports and dashboards and participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Develop and coordinate communication packages—letters, brochures, video, point-of-purchase displays—for particular assignments.
- Update and add new content to Salesforce.com, HardiePro.com, and James Hardie Contractor University
o Communicate out updates to all stakeholders
- Project Management
o Ongoing project management related to Repair & Remodel marketing as needed.

The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager currently has no direct reports but will work directly with outside vendors and internal individuals or groups.
Decision Making:
The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager makes decisions based on strategic objectives, sales data, marketplace insights, and personal experience. His/Her decisions have a direct impact on the direction of the Company’s brand and how well the Company is represented.
Supervisory/Lead Responsibilities:
The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager does not have direct reports, however, will be expected to act as a leader in the organization. His/Her ability to influence others will determine his/her success in the role.
Scope of Position:
The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager must understand the overall strategic initiatives of the company and the Marketing objectives to ensure integration of the Repair & Remodel strategy. He/she must collaborate with the organization and pull in key stakeholders to ensure that they provide input early and buy into the goals and direction of projects. The Repair & Remodel Marketing Manager must be passionate about making positive changes to the way James Hardie markets its products.

Education/Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Master’s Degree (Preferred but not required)
- 5 years of experience as a Marketing Specialist or equivalent
- Experience managing the product, place, price and promotion (4 Ps of marketing).
- Proven project management experience in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience managing multiple agencies/vendors and negotiating contracts
- B2B and/or B2C marketing experience.
- Building products industry experience (preferred but not required)
